What it is

RD&I Fund

The Research, Development and Innovation Fund is Enterprise Ireland's flagship instrument for supporting companies making significant investment in product, process or service innovation. It is designed for businesses with a clear innovation agenda and the capacity to execute complex multi-year projects. The fund covers a wide range of RD&I activities including new product development, process innovation, prototype development and technology transfer.

Who Can Apply

Enterprise Ireland client companies with a strong innovation track record, typically revenues of €5M or more. Projects must demonstrate genuine novelty and commercial potential.

Grant Value

Up to €300,000, with EI co-funding typically at 35 to 50% of eligible costs depending on company size and project type. Projects typically run 12 to 36 months.
